Pupdate about...charm
By guest editor, Curls
Hello! Warm Christmas wishes to you all!
I am Curls, the guest editor for this week. (Actually, they
wanted me to edit Christmas week, but unfortunately I had far too many engagements
and I just couldn’t spare the time.)
Snow and Fox have invited me to add a little class and charm
to the Christmas season.
After all, now that the Kennel Club has gone Royal, and dog
lovers across the world have been introduced to Prince William’s delightful dog, Orla, most of the dog world is seeking some elegance and glamour to up their game in the public eye.
I can certainly provide that.
I’m not quite royalty of course, but I do have a rather splendid
heritage. You can read more about in my little book.
While my family history is certainly enthralling, I have my
own talents for fame. I am handsome and charming – a real catch among animals and humans alike. Whether you see me about town or walking in nature, I’m always turning heads.
In this edit then, I am going to give you my top tips for being
a charming and elegant dog. Follow these rules and you will be photographed across town, dining in the best restaurants and having books written about you. (Yes, it could happen to you!)
Curls’ top tips to turn heads
1. Treat everyone with respect (no barking or
getting in the way)
2. Stay cool when greeting someone (it is never a
good look to be over eager like Golden Retrievers).
3. Make a fuss about your food. (A well-bred dog does
not just eat ANYTHING – again, thinking of Golden Retrievers.)
4. Don’t walk, strut. Find your style and stick with it. And most importantly, take your time. No one likes a dog bolting towards them (Golden Retrievers!).
5. Don’t be afraid to express your style. For me, I am rarely without a bow tie. Individuality is the key to turning heads, but it
must be done with grace.
And there you have it! For most dogs this is 100% achievable.
(Though there is one breed that would find it almost impossible.)
Enjoy the Christmas season!
